Inquest indicts UK officials over death of mentally-ill Ghanaian in detention centre

The findings of an inquest into the death of a mentally ill Ghanaian in the UK indicates that the deceased died from dehydration, malnutrition and hypothermia “in plain sight” at an immigration centre.

The 31-year-old Prince Kwabena Fosu’s death was partly due to “gross failure” by agencies at the centre, the jury at West London Coroner’s Court said.
