COVID-19 does not spread through breastfeeding- RISE-Ghana encourages mothers

Breastfeeding mothers have been encouraged not to stop breastfeeding their babies over fears that they could pass on the novel coronavirus to their babies through the breastmilk.

This is because COVID-19 cannot be transmitted from mother to child through the practice of optimal breastfeeding and Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC).
