CEO of Joana Gyan Foundation installed Queen Mother of Wasa Agona Amenfi

The Chief Executive Officer of Joana Gyan Foundation, Mrs. Joana Gyan Cudjoe has been installed the Mpuntuo Hemaa (Development Queen Mother) of Wassa Agona Amenfi in the Western Region.

The new queen mother whose stool name is Nana Adwoa Awo I has been charged with the responsibility to mobilise the people to develop the area through the provision of basic social amenities.

At a ceremony, last Saturday, June 27, 2020, the chiefs and people also installed a white man as Mpontuo Hene (Development Chief) of the area.

The two are expected to help with the establishment of the medical facility, secondary school educational complex and a market.

The new Queen Mother who is the originator of “The GEM Media” is a native of the town.

She was crowned when she visited the town with her NGO, Joana Gyan Foundation, to donate Personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the residents in the area as well as fumigating and disinfecting the town.

According to the leaders of the area, Nana Adwoa Awo I was given the mandate because of her dedication to development in the area.

Activities

The Joana Gyan Foundation’s main focus is educational empower in the mining areas, encourage entrepreneurship, reclaim mining lands for Agricultural purposes, improve health status, infrastructural development, caring for the aged and also promoting gender equality.

The organisation, however, is now on a mission to help combat the Coronavirus (COVID 19) in Wasa Agona Amenfi in the Western North Region of Ghana.

The organisation hired the services of DeleteGhana, a leading Waste Management and environmental protection in the country to fumigate churches, mosques, the palace, the Police Station, and the Markets in the area on Friday, June 26, 2020.

The move is part of the organisation’s social responsibility to help the government’s effort to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

Joana Gyan Foundation also had a team of financial experts to educate the inhabitants of Wasa Agona Amenfi on their finances while the team of health practitioners educating about their health with free health screening.

The organisation also donated Face Masks, Hand Sanitizers, and other items to inhabitants.

Mrs. Joana Gyan donated some items to the various essential services of the town, children, and elderly.
