President Nana Addo has shared some photo with his family while in self-isolation. The picture was released into the public domain by Gabby Otchere-Darko, cousin of President Nana Addo.
He disclosed that the president is doing well and surrounded by love.
“He’s well at home surrounded by love – even if over two meters apart! The President is well and at the Villa.”
A statement released by the ministry of information, signed by the Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah indicated that the president of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has gone into self-quarantine.
“On the advice of a doctor, the president of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is from today, July 4, 2020, taking a fourteen (14) day precautionary self-isolation measure in compliance with COVID-19 protocols” the statement reads.
The release further added that the president’s decision to self-isolate was informed by the fact that, a person within his close circle tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.
According to the release, the president has “as at yesterday tested negative” but decided to go into isolation for fourteen days on precautionary grounds.
