Meet 19-year-old David Boanuh, the Ghanaian Director of Photography for Beyoncé’s ‘Black Is King’ film

So far, Shatta Wale and his manager, Bulldog have established the fact that Beyonce didn’t come to Ghana to shoot her Already music video.

However, we saw scenes in the video that captured Ghana. The question is, which videographer took those scenes before sending it to Beyonce’s team in America?

Well, the identity of the young genius has been unveiled. His name is David Boanuh and he’s just 19 years of age and a student of Ashesi University, Ghana.

David took to his Twitter handle took reveal how happy he is to be part of the Black is King film project as the Director of Photography.

“It’s all so surreal to me”, he tweeted.

His University has also taken to their Twitter handle to praise him for the genius he is.

They tweeted:

“For Beyonce’s new Disney+ film “Black is King”, Ashesi alum David Boanuh ’19 served as Director of Photography for scenes shot in Ghana, helping bring unique representations of Africa to the film described as a “a celebratory memoir for the world on the Black experience.”
