If you don’t have Passport, don’t talk when we’re calling for reduction of COVID-19 test at airport – Stonebwoy

In a tweet yesterday, Dancehall musician Stonebwoy spoke on the need for the Government to reduce the cost of COVID-19 test at the airport when traveling from and to Ghana.

He remarked that paying $150 is just too much so Government should do something about it because that amount is too high for the average Ghanaian to afford.

After his tweet, some political dogmas came to rain insults on the BHIM Nation CEO. Some tagged his comments as politically motivated to dent the image of the Government.

In response to these critics, the ‘Putuu’ crooner has said that his concerns are not politically motivated, but he’s just concerned about the welfare of Ghanaians at large.

“See if you don’t have Passport, don’t talk. Some of you may never travel outside Ghana so you’re not the ones I am referring to. But we pray that one day, you’ll also get the chance to leave the shores of Ghana. But what I am saying, if you think about it, it is not political. If you take it as such, you’re simply worrying yourself.”, he said.

“This issue is about the welfare of Ghanaians. The government says he cares about us. So we’re just pleading with him to reduce the amount.”, Stonebwoy said further.
