Berekum Chelsea are set to name former Asante Kotoko midfielder Collins Ameyaw in their starting line up to face Hearts of Oak in an all-important clash at the Golden City Park on Saturday.
Ameyaw, 23, rejoined Chelsea after quitting Kotoko during the summer transfer window but has not been able to feature for the Blues due to injury situation.
The central midfielder signed a 3-year-contract with Kotoko in 2017 but couldn’t hold down a permanent place in the starting XI and left the club after the expiration of his contract with the Porcupine Warriors.
However, he has been declared fit for the matchday 10 home game between Chelsea and Hearts and is likely to start in midfield for the hosts who are trapped in the relegation zone.
While Chelsea have the midfielder available for the clash Hearts have lost offensive midfielder Umar Manaf Gumah to yellow card accumulation while Emmanuel Nettey, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen and Mamani Lawali all couldn’t make the matchday squad due to match fitness issues.
Hearts sit 5th on the log with 15 points from 9 games and are just a point shy of leaders Karela United while Chelsea are 16th with 9 points from 9 games.
