Joshua Makubu Biography
He included him in the list of the 46 persons for the ministerial positions.
Once Mr Makubu get passed by Parliament’s Appointment Committee to be qualified for the position, he will serve as Oti Regional Minister in the second term of President Akufo-Addo.
Although amputated in his right leg, Joshua Makubu is a force to reckon when it comes to his role in the National Patriotic Party in Oti Region.
He joined that party as a common supporter and due to his diligence, he has moved to the very top.

Wife, Children and Family
Nothing is known yet about his family life.
EP Senior High School located in the Northern Region of Ghana was where Joshua Makubu had his senior high school education.
He completed high school with flying colours which then got him admission to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science.
Makubu further pursued a Master of Philosophy in Business Administration at the University of Ghana.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Finance at the University of Ghana business school.
He has an HND in Statistics, a BSc Actuarial Science, an MPhil in Finance, and would soon bag a PhD in Finance.
Career and Politics
Joshua Makubu is a teacher by profession. He teaches at the Senior High level.
He has a strong passion for politics. Furthermore, he has occupied several positions in the National Patriotic Party in his region.
The nominee is the current Regional Secretary of the party having won the position during a regional delegates conference in 2018.
Mr Makuba, who is from the Nkwanta South Constituency, won the position by gaining 98 votes out of the 150 total votes cast by the delegates.
He has been a strong advocate for persons living with disabilities and on several occasions called for their inclusion in governance.

Addressing the media on his nomination, Mr Joshua Makubu said “It was a shock to me when I heard the announcement. I did not know I was going to be made a Minister. I know I can serve my country and government, but I did not know I would be given a Regional Minister and I am equally prepared and up to the task”.
