Ghanaian defender Mohammed Adams, popularly known as Mangala, has signed a permanent contract with Finnish top division side FC Honka.
Adams, 20, joins the Veikkausliiga side from Ghanaian second-tier side Okyeman Planners Football Club and becomes the third player from the club to join an European side in the winter transfer window.
The former Ghana U20 central defender is gifted with a high technical ability, great strength, graceful personality and nurtured leadership skills.
During his spell on the Ghanaian scene Adams spent a season on loan at Ghana Premier League outfit Liberty Professionals where his performance against Aduana Stars at the Carl Reindorf Park dominated media headlines in the West African nation.
Meanwhile he joins his former teammate at Okyeman Planners FC – Nasiru Banahene at Honka and is set to form a crusting defensive partnership with the fleet-footed lateral defender.
Adams is a former Ghana U20 international and was a key component of the glorious Ghana national team side that was coached by Yaw Preko two seasons ago.
Despite joining Honka late into the winter window manager Vesa Vasara is already factoring the defender into his plans for the season is set to become a key fix in his defence.
