Black Satellites captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh is eying a call up to the Senior National team having led the U20 side to glory at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
Barnieh started Ghana’s opening two matches at the competition from the bench but eventually returned to the starting line up featuring in games against Gambia, Cameroon and Uganda.
He was the hero for Ghana in the final game against Uganda after scoring twice to clinch a fourth title for the Satellites.
The Hearts of Oak man,19, has eyes on breaking into the Black Stars team after the remarkable achievement.
“Am very happy, I am honored to lead the team to win the Cup of Nations,” he was speaking to TV3.
“I have written my name in the history books as one of the captains to do that and now I want to be in the Black Stars.
“That is my target now, I want to play for the Black Stars.”
Ghana added up to the triumph in 1993,1999 and 2009.
