Former Ashanti Gold CEO Fredrick Acheampong has earned the role as the Treasurer for the Ghana Olympic Committee.
The former football administrator won the position during Monday’s election.
He beat Christopher Essilfie for the position and will be deputized by Isaac Aboagye Duah who also edged Christopher Darko-Amankrah.
Acheampong resigned from his position as the Chief Executive Officer of Ashanti Gold months ago in a bid to embark on a new adventure with Ghana Olympic Committee.
Meanwhile incumbent President Ben Nunoo Mensah was re-elected as head of the Committee.
