Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah has finally declared his decision to represent the USA at international level.
The youngster has earned himself a call-up to the USA National team ahead of the international game against Jamaica.
Musah was a multinational as he was eligible to play for the Ghana, USA and England.
He however explains his decision to choose the USA over the two countries.
“I think it was pretty clear for me to decide to play for the United States,” Musah said.
“First of all, I think it makes sense to represent the country I was born in. The moment I decided to play for the United States came one day when my heart told me that this was the best place for me.
“The project that we have now and for the future is so exciting, and it’s a great pleasure to be able to be a part of that. I can’t wait to get started.”
The 18-year-old was born in New York but moved to England when he joined Arsenal’s academy at a tender age.
Ghana had made efforts to convince the player to pledge his allegiance but to no avail.
