Ghana’s technical handlers have reverted their decision to push Cholchester United attacker Kwame Afriyie Poku to the Black Stars B.
The 19-year-old was named in CK Akonnor’s 29 man squad for Ghana’s double header against South Africa and São Tomé.
After several media backlash on Akonnor’s decision to invite the England based forward, reports were rife the former Ghana international (CK Akonnor) had decided to push the player into the Black Stars B team for the international friendly against Uzbekistan.
Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association Henry Asante Twum however confirmed the said reports indicating the Coach’s decision to have Poku join the Black Stars B.
Contrary to the earlier attempt from the technical team, the player who ply his trades in the English fourth tier has joined the main Black Stars team as he trained in preparation for the game against South Africa.
He was however one of four foreign based players who trained on Monday with the team.
