Goalkeeper Richard Ofori will not be available for Ghana’s Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and São Tomé.
The Orlando Pirates gloves man has not been able to shake off a groin injury suffered in his side’s CAF Confederation Cup match against ES Setif at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ofori was stretched off after just 14 minutes after picking up the injury and has since been on the sideline, missing his side’s games against Enyimba and Kaizer Chiefs.
He could however not recover on time for Ghana’s double header.
In his absence, CK Akonnor will rely on Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora and Africa U20 best goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim who are currently with the team.
