Hearts defeat Auroras 3-1 in friendly

Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak claimed a 3-1 win over non-league side Auroras in a mid-season friendly match on Thursday.

The Phobians, now managed by Samuel Boadu, fell behind to their feeder club when they conceded the first goal through a Theophilus Attoh penalty on the 17th minute mark.

But, striker Isaac Mensah hit back for Hearts before Kwadwo Obeng Junior steered Hearts into a 2-1 lead going into the recess.

Hearts eventually cushioned the scores when inexperienced led to the third goal for the Phobians through a corner kick.

Samuel Boadu’s side have now scored 7 goals in 2 friendly games and have conceded 3 having beaten Banana Inn FC 4-2.

Players like Richmond Ayi, Fatawu Mohammed, William Dankyi, James Serwornu, Caleb Amankwa Emmanuel Nettey, Frederick Ansah Botchwey, Patrick Razak, Victor Aidoo and Abdul Manaf Gumah as well as Isaac Mensah all started the game for the Phobians.
